Demi Moore and Our Fear of Ageing

After the death of Our All American Girl Whitney Houston last week from drug abuse, who could blame our other American Girl Demi Moore for feeling or acting the way she does. She's Ageing. And NOT Gracefully.

I refuse to write that these people had a Substance Abuse problem because WTF is that huh? Some substance, I guess. Food? that's a substance. Money, there's another substance. Stuff, Material Possesions, there's another substance. So no, I will not be writing the words substance and abuse together anytime soon. Since anyone can abuse any substance, depending on what that substance is.

A Woman of Substance on the other hand, is a totally different thing. That's the title of a book

More and more Americans might want to write a new book titled: A Woman of Substance (Abuse)

Because we have an epedemic here of Big Pharma Prescription Drugs killing more and more people than car accidents did last year.

Everybody is talking about this. Everybody is writing and blogging about it. Jane Velez-Mitchell Of HLN is One of those people. She wrote the Book ADDICT NATION.

Americans have a f'kn pill for everything.

If they don't, they'll invent the disease or ailment first, convince you have it, then sell you the drug.

Now where is my anti-age-ing sugar placebo pill?

When news of Moore’s troubles first broke, I found myself reading it on my computer screen in shock and disbelief, but also in anger and guilt. “Look what we have done to this woman,” I thought to myself. We can all try to wash our hands of Demi’s demise, but we are all ultimately responsible for it. Every time we looked at a picture of her, or any other “aging” actress and poked fun at them looking old, looking “tired” we fed the machine that makes us believe that somehow aging is wrong. Does anybody in America die of natural causes anymore?

One of these natural causes is called Age-ing.

There is no immortality pill invented by Big Pharma for that, although Americans would like to think they've conquered, and/or invented that too.

God only knows what they will think of next. (or not)
